In Ragas in Sound and Movement, textured performance paints embodied ragas across a rich canvas brushed with melody, verse, mood, essence, seasons and romance. Classical Indian flutist Ravi Kulur, vocalist Nandakumar Unnikrishnan, and percussionist, Kartik Vydhatri, bring to life ragas that inspired ragamala paintings of Mughal and Rajput courts. Vijay Palaparty and Nalini Prakash render abhinaya, expression inspired by the ragas while interpreting verses by Satya Palaparty.

Creative choreography and sheer beauty of movement lend life to the Ragamala paintings and express the poetry of Satya Palaparty. Dance greatly enhanced by the sublime music of Ravi Kulur, flutist; Nandakumar Unnikrishnan, vocalist; and Kartik Vydhatri, percussionist.
